Jim Cahill

Editor, Pens and Needles

In his past life, Jim was a lawyer in government and private practice, working as a consumer protection, commercial, and regulatory specialist. After thirty-two years practicing “the dull art of sophistry,” Jim now turns his energy to informative and entertaining writing. “Men of a certain age dream about second careers and second lives,” Jim says, “and I’m living the dream.” Jim is a decent banjo player, not a fancy one, mind you, but pretty decent. He is also the grandfather of two extraordinary Irish-American kids of fine character and good deportment.

Whether he was in one or not, I am certain that Jim Cahill could tell a GREAT war story.
